RJO selected Theorem’s data management platform because of its flexibility and agility; both make it well suited for a complex, evolving regulatory environment. The ability to automatically combine, transform, and enrich disparate datasets alleviated the need for an otherwise error prone manual process. Time to market was another key component of the engagement. Theorem enabled RJO to address specific aspects of MiFID on an extremely aggressive timeline because the platform was activated in a single day and there was no need for RJO to divert costly developer resources from other projects.
Karen Northup, RJO Chief Operating Officer, said: “Theorem was integral in helping RJO meet the challenges of developing a fully automated transaction reporting solution for RJO’s diverse client base. The Theorem team built infrastructure and functionality that not only facilitated RJO’s ability to meet an aggressive MiFID II implementation deadline but also will serve RJO well in developing future applications on the platform. ”
Working with the experienced team at RJO was another key factor in the project’s success. Paul Geiger, Co-Founder and President of Theorem, added: “We enjoyed the opportunity to work with Karen and her team to tackle a new data requirement. We were also pleased that by leveraging our platform R.J. O’Brien avoided having to build and support a costly custom software solution.”
